I bought a long vest dress with a sunset print from River Island recently, thinking it would be nice as a cover-up for my holiday. The only problem was, the length and shapelessness of it made it frumpy and unflattering, and there were odd little flicks sewn in at the hem.
I loved the print so decided I'd buy it anyway and tassle the bottom of it, meaning that it would be the length of a normal dress, with long tassles on the hem. It was in the sale so if it went awfully wrong and looked stupid then it didn't matter too much.
I didn't use a fancy shredder or anything like that..I literally just trimmed the bottom in strips, tied the ends and then cut the hem off.
I'm really pleased with it, and now I can't wait to wear it on holiday!
Outfit planning and packing is taking over the inside of my brain lately..I get really carried away and organised when I go on holiday!

My Week In Outfits
Some of these outfits I wanted to do full posts about, but didn't get a chance to get proper pictures. I'll try and get real posts done soon, as some of the bits are exciting new additions to my wardrobe.
But I figured brief pictures are better than nothing, and I need to get into the habit of posting regularly.
Also, a big hello to all the girls that have found me from the Paul's Boutique Tumblr! I hope you enjoy my blog :)

Excuse the awkward Angelina leg..wanted to show that the skirt had a split!
I LOVE this black and white coat. It will almost definately get an entire post to itself soon, the lucky thing.
This was for a night out..which is the only excuse I can come up with for why my belly made an appearance! It normally stays well hidden in it's rightful place.
Hope you're all having a nice week/weekend! I got offered a new job so I'm one happy girl right now.

Fashion Cowboy
I picked up a little beauty of a bag in Zara the other day. I've had my beady eyes on it for a while but even at the sale price of £40 it was too much for me (it was originally £70).
So imagine my delight when I went in and saw it was THIRTEEN POUNDS.
For a real leather bag.
I nearly squealed, but contained myself just in time.
I think it's such a good size as well, not as big and lumbering as a full-on, every day handbag, but still big enough to fit your essentials in. Now it just needs to get sunny enough so that I can wear it with denim shorts and feel like a real cowboy.
I might even add cowboy boots. But I think that's a step too far.
