Wedding Day (Not Mine!)

It was my boyfriend's cousin's wedding yesterday and it was such a beautiful day. The weather held out amazingly well and everything went perfectly. I don't have too many good pictures of what I wore unfortunately, but  I tried to get a few.

I've had this dress for about three years and have been WAITING for the opportunity to wear it. You know when you see something in a shop and you have no occasion to wear it, but you know you'll regret it forever if you leave it behind? This little beauty of a dress was like that. And it was an absolute bargain from H&M for £34.99, so I figured I'd buy it and pray for a summer wedding.
Well, it only took three years.
But the time finally arrived, and questionable weather was not going to stop the dress from having it's moment.
And it was worth it, it's probably my favourite dress I've ever worn, and I felt like a princess all day (cheesy as that is).  I paired it with a gold metal belt from Zara, Office sandals and a Topshop clutch.

Getting my accessories ready (too organised for my own good)

With the bride's brother, Ed. (Not Ed Sheeran, I swear).

Hopefully I'll get some better pictures to add in!

Maxi Everything at Shoreditch House

Yesterday I spent the day at Shoreditch House for a training for work. I've never been before but I loved it, it's so beautiful (and posh, obviously). We got given lunch of pizza, chips and salad, and Champagne at the end of the day to reward us. (We deserved it, we got filmed talking in front of a group of people, which is genuinely my idea of hell).
We were up on the roof and as it was such a hot day so I just wanted to get into the pool..but obviously I couldn't as I had work to do sadly.
As a gathering of fashion girls that I rarely see I felt I needed to make an effort, but I didn't know what we'd be doing so I went for day heels that wouldn't kill me if I had to spend the day standing! Excuse me looking a little bedraggled in the pictures, they were taken after I got home, and it was a loooong day..I live about as far away from Shoreditch House as is possible.

I'm wearing Dress, Boots and Arm Cuff - Topshop. Necklace - My trusty River Island Peace sign. Cape/waistcoat/relatively useless bit of fabric - Never Fully Dressed.

I loved this, it just draped so nicely and I felt so flowy and fashion-y in it (if you know what I mean). The dress looks absolutely nothing on the hanger and the fold in the middle is undoubtably very peculiar, but you'd be surprised how many people have loved it when they actually put it on. I'm planning on buying it in neon pink as well.

I've got a wedding to go to today (I'm EXCITED) so hopefully I'll have outfit posts from that within the next couple of days. I'm praying I don't get rained on as I'm wearing a maxi dress that I've been saving for years, and sandals.
Fingers crossed!
Have a nice weekend all.

LOOK What I'm Wearing..

LOOK magazine are having a competition to see who can get the most likes on an outfit post on their website, and the winner gets shopping vouchers. I've ignored the cringe I get about self promotion and entered my prism skirt outfit! (If you follow me, you've seen it)

Please vote for me HERE and help me win. I'm very poor and would love some free clothes and any votes would be much appreciated :)
The draw is on Wednesday so I don't have much time!

Wardrobe Clear Out

I'm having a bit of a wardrobe clear out, I'm moving and frankly the sheer amount of clothes I have is ridiculous.
I've held on to so many things that I like thinking "Oh, it's too short so i'll add lace to the bottom" or convincing myself that I'll find a time and place to wear it.
I've come to the realisation that I won't.
So I'm shedding. It's quite theraputic really. I wanted to do a car boot sale but I've found people only seem to be willing to pay about 10p for things, and they grumble about that. To save myself the hassle, a lot of it is going to charity shops.
However, the good stuff is going on Ebay. They're all lovely clothes, in good condition (often unworn) that for some reason just aren't quite right for me.
Including this dress! I love it, as the print is beautiful. It's just a tiny bit too short for me, and I'm fussy about maxi lengths.

Feel free to have a look on my ebay for anything that you want! I'll be so happy if I can find nice new homes for things rather than having to take them to charity shops.

You can find my ebay items HERE.

Happy bidding!

Wooden Summer Sandals

I want these sandals a lot. I really want some chunky, neutral summer heels that I can wear during the day, that go with everything summery I own, and I think these may be the ones.
I'm trying to weigh up whether I think they'll be comfortable. On the plus side, the platform is pretty big, meaning my foot won't be at a horrible angle, and they might be comfortable. But on the down side, the sole is wooden. In my experience a solid sole leads to very uncomfortable shoes. OH THE DILEMMA.

They are pretty though.

Prism Print Dip Hem Skirt

This is sort of two outfit posts. It's one skirt, but I've worn it twice recently, once to work and once on a night out, so I thought I'd combine them.
I'm not really one for "day to night" clothes, as I think a night out is an opportunity to dress up as much as possible!
However, a couple of weeks ago I got "spotted" on the street and given an invitation to a Fashion Networking event at Boujis nightclub in Chelsea.

Now the event turned out to be a bit of a let down (pitch black club with incredibly loud music put a halt to any networking) but obviously coming up with an outfit was a big deal, and I didn't think my usual choice of a little sparkly dress would cut it. So I went for this beautiful new skirt from Topshop. I went quite daring (and naked) and wore it with a cropped, backless, bra top. Very risky from me and it got a lot of disapproving looks on the tube!

For work I obviously kept it more conservative, and wore a plain black vest. I also ended up adding tights after the pictures below were taken as it was actually pretty cold!

Isn't it always the way that the picture you know you'd have liked goes blurry? I refuse to bow to the limitations of my camera and I'm putting it up anyway!
I'm wearing Skirt, Top and Shoes - Topshop, Necklace - Romwe, Sunglasses - H&M.

Which way of wearing it do you prefer? I can tell I'm going to love wearing it during summer with a vest and sandals, and a cocktail, obviously.

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona

I have been looking for a watch that I can wear every day for a long time. I'm quite fussy, so I haven't jumped into buying one, even though I'm not particularly looking to buy an expensive one. If my perfect watch was in River Island or another high street store I would be eternally happy.

However. I have now found my perfect watch.

The problem? It is a Rolex. Therefore it will never be mine.

(Image from www.rolex.com)

Doesn't it just make your heart hurt a little bit? It is the most beautiful piece of machinery I have ever seen. And now I have set eyes on it I can never look at another watch in the same way. How can I be happy with a cheap high street watch now that I have seen this beautiful specimen?

I guess I'm going to have to wait until I marry a millionaire, or win the lottery.
I'm hoping it will be any day now.

D.I.Y Inspiration

I want to make ALL of these things. I do have the feeling that I might be going overboard with studs soon though, I've already got through about 150 somehow.

I am in LOVE with these shoes. I must do this.

I definately want to do this to a pair of plain wedges. A bit of masking tape and fabric paint should do the trick.

This is one of my favourites. Does anyone know where I could get studs this size?

Is anyone else planning any D.I.Y? I've gotten too into doing it lately, I wish I had more time to dedicate to it!

Fruit Salad

To start this post I feel like I should get it out there straight away and tell you..that I have found the prettiest blazer in the world.
It's from Topshop, it's a lovely fabric and fit, and it's the colour of a fruit salad; which in my eyes makes it perfect for summer. I also think it will be more useful than it looks, and I can't wait to throw it over little summery dresses (once I've bought some..for some reason while assessing my wardrobe there seems to be a gap in the "simple summery dress" category).
I hope you're ready for it.

HOW BEAUTIFUL? It's yellow on the shoulders and fades down to pink. You can buy it here. There are matching shorts but sadly they didn't fit me properly.
For it's first outing I wanted to keep it simple, so I paired it with a white vest, jeans, and my River Island peace necklace. And my nude and gold glitter heels from Republic, which is my little secret for heels; they're amazing, and because of the platform, these are the most comfortable heels I own.  I love them so much that I bought them in black too.

I apologise for my constantly rubbish locations, slash my missing head. It seems impossible to find a good, practical, well lit location and I'm jusy not patient enough (and I actually prefer keeping my head out of the pictures, I'm not photogenic and it stops me having to worry about my face).

I have loads to catch up and blog about, so hopefully I'll get that done soon and it will make up for the fact that I haven't posted anything for ages!
