Moving Blogs

Hi! For anyone that reads this, I am re-starting blogging from a new address.
I felt uninspired by it all and stopped blogging but I've decided to start again and felt like I needed a fresh start.

Holiday Preparation

Planning my holiday wardrobe.
Lining up and packing all my bikini's. Themed tropical sunset nails.
Travel money. At home bleaching..not ideal.

I'm going on holiday TOMORROW. I am so excited. I get so organised because I always feel like I'm going to forget something, and I'm pretty sure I always do.
Any tips for good packing?

D.I.Y Tassled Beach Cover Up

I bought a long vest dress with a sunset print from River Island recently, thinking it would be nice as a cover-up for my holiday. The only problem was, the length and shapelessness of it made it frumpy and unflattering, and there were odd little flicks sewn in at the hem.
I loved the print so decided I'd buy it anyway and tassle the bottom of it, meaning that it would be the length of a normal dress, with long tassles on the hem. It was in the sale so if it went awfully wrong and looked stupid then it didn't matter too much.
I didn't use a fancy shredder or anything like that..I literally just trimmed the bottom in strips, tied the ends and then cut the hem off.
I'm really pleased with it, and now I can't wait to wear it on holiday!
Outfit planning and packing is taking over the inside of my brain lately..I get really carried away and organised when I go on holiday!

My Week In Outfits

Some of these outfits I wanted to do full posts about, but didn't get a chance to get proper pictures. I'll try and get real posts done soon, as some of the bits are exciting new additions to my wardrobe.
But I figured brief pictures are better than nothing, and I need to get into the habit of posting regularly.
Also, a big hello to all the girls that have found me from the Paul's Boutique Tumblr! I hope you enjoy my blog :)

Excuse the awkward Angelina leg..wanted to show that the skirt had a split!

I LOVE this black and white coat. It will almost definately get an entire post to itself soon, the lucky thing.

This was for a night out..which is the only excuse I can come up with for why my belly made an appearance! It normally stays well hidden in it's rightful place.

Hope you're all having a nice week/weekend! I got offered a new job so I'm one happy girl right now.

Fashion Cowboy

I picked up a little beauty of a bag in Zara the other day. I've had my beady eyes on it for a while but even at the sale price of £40 it was too much for me (it was originally £70).
So imagine my delight when I went in and saw it was THIRTEEN POUNDS.
For a real leather bag.
I nearly squealed, but contained myself just in time.
I think it's such a good size as well, not as big  and lumbering as a full-on, every day handbag, but still big enough to fit your essentials in. Now it just needs to get sunny enough so that I can wear it with denim shorts and feel like a real cowboy.

I might even add cowboy boots. But I think that's a step too far.

Random Outfit Images..

I've realised that I've got loads of images of outfits that I've only managed to take a quick snap of, so haven't made into full outfit posts, as that still seems to take so long. It seemed such a waste and I thought that I should sdo something with the pictures so I figured I'd bung them all into one post, hope you enjoy!

There's so many pictures..so if you want to know where anything specific is from then feel free to ask!

My Week in Instagram

I haven't posted in so long!
I've been so busy, after the wedding I went to I stayed with a friend for a week in London. From there I went to centre parcs for a long weekend, with my boyfriend and some friends. When I came back I had to move house..which is obviously a huge job. I'm all settled in now though, and I managed to take some pictures along the way, so I can use these for an update of what I've been doing.  So here is my first "My Week in Instagram" post..as I've got a Samsung Galaxy SIII now I also finally have Instagram! (And the phone is LOVELY).

From top: The view from my friend's flat, Brie and Cranberry Chicken Burger at GBK, Pina Colada And Floral Suspender Tights.
Champagne to celebrate being at Centre Parcs, View from a Pedalo, The BBQ the minute the sun came out.
All my flowery boxes in their new home, Some of my clothes, My work wardrobe (finally enough space for it).

You can follow me on Instagram @ria_johnson.

Is it just me that has a work wardrobe? Haha. I like to organise my clothes. They are also colour co-ordinated.

Beaded Summer Sandals and a Hawaiian Print Skirt

This is mostly a post about an amazing pair of shoes but I've managed to squeeze them into an outfit.
As you know, Republic is my secret go-to for nice shoes, and I'd been staring at these longingly for quite a while.
However, needing to save money for sensible things like my upcoming holiday (and food etc) I'd resisted them, as they were £40.
But then they went down to £20 for a limited time only. Obviously I only had one choice. Beg a friend to lend me money so that I could buy them. (Luckily, she's nice and she did.)
So now I'm the proud owner of some GORGEOUS bright beaded summer sandals, which I can't wait to take on holiday with me.
For dinner with a friend I paired them with a tropical print skirt, and until I looked at the pictures I didn't realise how perfectly they match.
It's like they were made for each other. So much so that I'm not sure if it's one co-ordination too far? I'll let you decide.

I'm wearing: Blouse and bag - H&M, Skirt - Zara (it's in the sale!), Heels - Republic, Bra - New Look, Bracelets - Topshop.

I'm treating myself to the new Samsung Galaxy SIII tomorrow (unless anyone has any advice not to?) so I'm very excited. Hope you're all having a nice day!

Wedding Day (Not Mine!)

It was my boyfriend's cousin's wedding yesterday and it was such a beautiful day. The weather held out amazingly well and everything went perfectly. I don't have too many good pictures of what I wore unfortunately, but  I tried to get a few.

I've had this dress for about three years and have been WAITING for the opportunity to wear it. You know when you see something in a shop and you have no occasion to wear it, but you know you'll regret it forever if you leave it behind? This little beauty of a dress was like that. And it was an absolute bargain from H&M for £34.99, so I figured I'd buy it and pray for a summer wedding.
Well, it only took three years.
But the time finally arrived, and questionable weather was not going to stop the dress from having it's moment.
And it was worth it, it's probably my favourite dress I've ever worn, and I felt like a princess all day (cheesy as that is).  I paired it with a gold metal belt from Zara, Office sandals and a Topshop clutch.

Getting my accessories ready (too organised for my own good)

With the bride's brother, Ed. (Not Ed Sheeran, I swear).

Hopefully I'll get some better pictures to add in!

Maxi Everything at Shoreditch House

Yesterday I spent the day at Shoreditch House for a training for work. I've never been before but I loved it, it's so beautiful (and posh, obviously). We got given lunch of pizza, chips and salad, and Champagne at the end of the day to reward us. (We deserved it, we got filmed talking in front of a group of people, which is genuinely my idea of hell).
We were up on the roof and as it was such a hot day so I just wanted to get into the pool..but obviously I couldn't as I had work to do sadly.
As a gathering of fashion girls that I rarely see I felt I needed to make an effort, but I didn't know what we'd be doing so I went for day heels that wouldn't kill me if I had to spend the day standing! Excuse me looking a little bedraggled in the pictures, they were taken after I got home, and it was a loooong day..I live about as far away from Shoreditch House as is possible.

I'm wearing Dress, Boots and Arm Cuff - Topshop. Necklace - My trusty River Island Peace sign. Cape/waistcoat/relatively useless bit of fabric - Never Fully Dressed.

I loved this, it just draped so nicely and I felt so flowy and fashion-y in it (if you know what I mean). The dress looks absolutely nothing on the hanger and the fold in the middle is undoubtably very peculiar, but you'd be surprised how many people have loved it when they actually put it on. I'm planning on buying it in neon pink as well.

I've got a wedding to go to today (I'm EXCITED) so hopefully I'll have outfit posts from that within the next couple of days. I'm praying I don't get rained on as I'm wearing a maxi dress that I've been saving for years, and sandals.
Fingers crossed!
Have a nice weekend all.
