Is her "beauty" the real reason everyone hates Samantha Brick?

No doubt you've heard of Samantha Brick and the article she wrote claiming that everyone hated her because of her beauty. As could have been predicted, the article went viral and she has received a lot of backlash and nastiness. She says that she expected it, as it proves her point that "women hate beautiful women".
Now no offense to Samantha, but this just makes me think, umm..really? Let's ask Cheryl Cole (the nation's sweetheart) if she thinks that this is true.

In all honesty, I don't think it's her claim to be beautiful that has outraged the nation. Yes, it is unusual to hear someone say this, and it's going to attract some derogatory remarks. But it was the air of arrogance and delusion that I think surprised most people, and the total unwillingness to consider that she might be disliked because of her personality, rather than her face.

She beleives that every woman that dislikes her suspects that their husbands fancy her.
She beleives that every promotion she hasn't got is because her female boss is jealous of her beauty, which frankly I think is ridiculous, and insulting. She is suggesting that all woman are sufficently unprofessional enough to hinder other women based purely on what they look like. She hasn't stopped to consider that there might have been other people better qualified for the job.

If what she beleives is true, no beautiful people would have any friends and they'd all be unemployed. The sheer number of celebrities and models surely disproves this?
If women hated beautiful women then when Beyonce released a single no one would buy it. No one would want to buy everything that Kate Middleton wears, yet from the minute she became public she has been adored, not only because of her beauty but because of her sweet and un-pretentious air.

It almost seems now like some magazines are writing articles half-heartedly supporting her, as if that they are trying to prove that they're not jealous.

What do you think?
